Welcome!

We are so excited you found us! We are a specialty movement and yoga studio located in the downtown Longmont area. We offer classes and workshops that help create the foundation for healthier, pain-free living. Whether you are new to movement-based classes, or looking to add to your already active lifestyle. Our team of talented instructors offer classes and workshops in various styles of Yoga, Essentrics®, Mindful Movement, and more! Ready to try your first class? Here’s what you need to know…

What should i wear?

All classes at Foundation M/Y require comfortable clothing that allow complete freedom of movement. We recommend sweats, yoga pants, or any kind of athletic wear. Many of our clients find it helpful to come in layers of clothing that they can easily remove or put back on as needed. All of our classes are done barefoot, however, if you require shoes with additional arch support or would like to keep your socks on while you warm up, please do what is most comfortable for you.

What should I bring to class?

Almost all classes at Foundation M/Y require a yoga mat. If you have one, bring it to class with you. If not, we have plenty of mats and props for you to use during class at no additional charge. We also recommend bringing a water bottle. All other props and equipment will be provided.

What should I expect when I come to class for the first time?

We recommend that you come at least 10 minutes early to your first class to fill out a quick intake form and get settled in to the studio. One of our amazing instructors will show you around, introduce you to a few friendly faces, and make sure you have everything you need before class starts.

What If I can’t do the postures or movements in class?

We always encourage you to listen to your body. If you find that a movement doesn’t feel right or are unsure if you are doing something correctly, please talk to your instructor after class. Any movement performed in Foundation classes should not hurt (meaning shooting, electric, or tingling sensations), only the dull ache of your muscles working and lengthening.

If you have any injuries or limitations that prevent movement, please let your instructor know before class. They may be able to give you a few modifications or suggestions to ensure you get the most out of your class time.

What do classes cost?

Your first class with us is FREE, and from there we have several pricing options to best fit your budget and lifestyle— including our New Client Special of 30 Days of Unlimited Classes for $35. We are happy to help you find the best value for your money.
